Hi.I am using GI Studio 4.6. I would like to know the correct procedure for releasing a new version of my software.

I have found that if I just rebuild the installation package, then when it is run it prompts "Uninstall application?". The user can only choose 'Yes' to uninstall, or 'No' which cancels. This is not affected by changing the value of "Uninstall" under <variables>.

I have been working around this by incrementing the GUID in the "AppID" under <variables> for each release. This makes the installer run properly and it correctly overwrites old versions, however it means that in Add/Remove Programs, every old version is listed which is untidy.

Is it possible to make an installer which will upgrade the existing version when run, and also update the entry under Add/Remove Programs?

anyone? This problem makes my software look so unprofessional that I am going to buy a different installer solution if it can't be resolved.
